Retina Screening
A high-definition retina checkup that uses advanced ultra-wide scans to inspect the back of your eye. It catches early signs of macular issues, retinal tears, or diabetic eye damage before symptoms appear.
Who It's For
-
High Myopia (Severe Nearsightedness): Individuals with strong prescriptions who face higher risks of retinal thinning or tears.
-
Chronic Health Conditions: Anyone with diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of retinal disease needing routine preventative screening.
-
New Vision Warning Signs: People experiencing sudden flashes of light, new floaters, dark spots, or distorted center vision.
What's Included & Why It Matters
-
Ultra-Widefield Fundus Imaging & Macular OCT Scan
-
Why It Matters: Captures ultra-wide 200° high-definition photos and cross-sectional 3D layers of your retina and macula to detect early detachment, macular degeneration, or fluid buildup.

-
How It Works

Initial Coordinator Orientation: Meet your care coordinator to review your vision history, medical background, and screen habits.
-
Vision & High-Tech Retinal Imaging: Complete basic vision tests followed by fast, non-contact ultra-wide scans and OCT cross-section imaging.
-
Specialist Clinical Examination: Undergo a thorough light assessment of your retina and optical nerve with the eye doctor.
-
Physician Review & Care Plan: Sit down with the doctor to examine your retina photos, get clear answers, and receive your eye health report.
Good to Know
-
Language & Communication: Consultations and medical explanations are conducted directly by English-fluent specialists. Support staff have limited English skills but regularly use Google Translate to ensure smooth coordination.
-
Eyeglasses & Contact Lenses: Please bring your current eyeglasses to the appointment. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before imaging to ensure clear scan results.
-
Pupil Dilation Note: If pupil-dilating drops are required for deeper imaging, your vision may be temporarily blurry and sensitive to light for 4–6 hours. We recommend bringing sunglasses and avoiding driving immediately afterward.
