The Rooti Rx is essentially a "wear-and-forget" medical device. It replaces the old-fashioned Holter monitors that involved a bulky box and a web of wires.
1. The Hardware: The "Patch"
The device is a small, lightweight sensor (about the size of a large thumb) that snaps into a disposable, medical-grade adhesive electrode.
Placement: It is stuck directly onto your chest, usually over the sternum or left pectoral.
Sensors: Inside the device is a single-lead ECG sensor, a 3-axis accelerometer (to track movement and sleep position), and a processor that records data at high frequencies.
2. The Data Collection (The 7-Day Window)
Because the device is waterproof, you wear it continuously—while sleeping, working, exercising, and showering.
Continuous ECG: It records every single heartbeat. Over 7 days, it will capture roughly 600,000 to 700,000 heartbeats.
Biological Signals: It doesn't just "listen" to the heart; it measures Heart Rate Variability (HRV). This is the key to the sleep analysis. By
looking at the tiny fluctuations in time between beats, the AI can determine your autonomic nervous system's state (Stress vs.
Relaxation).
3. AI Analysis (RootiCare Platform)
Once the 7 days are up, you return the device. The raw data is uploaded to a cloud-based AI platform.
Filtering: The AI filters out "noise" (like muscle movement or static) to get a clean heart signal.
Pattern Recognition: The AI compares your heart patterns against millions of known cardiac events to flag irregularities like AFib or
PVCs.
Sleep Mapping: To generate the sleep report without a breathing tube, Rooti uses ECG-Derived Respiration (EDR). When you breathe, the
shape of your ECG signal changes slightly due to the movement of your chest and the position of your heart. The AI "decodes" these
changes to calculate your breathing rate and detect if you stop breathing (Apnea).
