Do I need a visa to visit Taiwan? +

Taiwan offers visa-exemption (no visa required) to citizens of 66 countries. The allowable stay ranges from 14 to 30 days. See the Visa-Exemption country list on the Bureau of Consular Affairs website.

For citizens of other countries that require a visa, review the Landing Visa and eVisa processes listed on the Bureau of Consular Affairs website.

Taiwan also offers a Medical Treatment Visa for those visiting for medical treatment purposes. However, as of December 2024, elective health services such as health screenings, beauty services, dental cosmetics, non-severe dental work, and vision correction do not qualify as Medical Treatment.
