Prenuvo, Ezra and Function Health: A Conservative Comparison - Health information for international visitors in Taiwan
Quick answer: Prenuvo, Ezra and Function are not three versions of the same service. Prenuvo sells MRI scans and memberships, Ezra sells imaging with materially different coverage by tier, and Function is a laboratory membership that also offers access or pricing for imaging. Compare exact anatomy, modality, exclusions, report and follow-up—not the headline price or the phrase “full body.”

Do not call unequal coverage “equivalent”

Head-to-mid-thigh, head-to-ankle, selected-organ, whole-body and single-region scans are different products. Some exclude the chest, lungs, breasts, heart, limbs, bowel or spine. The presence of AI, a 3T scanner or a radiology report does not erase these differences.

A valid comparison must match the same modality, anatomy, sequences, contrast, report, image files, clinician review and follow-up. Promotions, memberships and location-specific pricing should be separated from standard self-pay prices.

Medical evidence and limitations

ACR states that evidence is insufficient to recommend total-body MRI screening for asymptomatic people without risk factors, symptoms or family history. No commercial scan replaces established breast, cervical, colorectal, oral or eligibility-based lung cancer screening. Incidental findings can lead to additional testing, procedures, anxiety and cost.

A large blood panel is also not automatically beneficial. Each test should have a reason, and abnormal results may need confirmation. Combining a membership with imaging does not create a medically validated longevity protocol.

New Dawn comparison

New Dawn catalogue prices must be drawn from the live transaction database. A comparison article may show a price range only when it states currency, facility or market, service scope, exclusions and as-of date. It must not claim that a Taiwan product is “Prenuvo-equivalent” or “the same scan” without protocol-level written evidence.

Terminology bridge

US / UK terms and the closest Taiwan context

Read this first: These are comparison aids, not claims that coverage, credentials, or care pathways are equivalent. Europe is not one health system; UK examples below refer specifically to NHS England.

International / Taiwan

Radiology report, DICOM, and PACS

What it means there
A radiology report is the clinician’s interpretation. DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) is the international standard for medical images and related information. PACS is a system used to store and retrieve imaging data.
Closest Taiwan context
Taiwan facilities may use the same international imaging standards, but the available export medium, viewer, report language, and delivery time are facility-specific.
Do not treat as equivalent
Receiving a PDF report does not necessarily mean the diagnostic images are included. Receiving DICOM files does not replace a signed clinical report or guarantee that another facility can import every file.
What to ask
Ask separately for the signed report, report language, complete DICOM study, delivery method, viewer needs, release timing, and any fee.
